Andrew Pelczar, M.D., joined the medical staff at Mason Health in 2017.

A 1995 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Dr. Pelczar received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1999 and completed his residency in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia in 2007. After multiple deployments in the Middle East, he transitioned to the Navy Reserve in 2014, and practiced surgery in the University of Maryland Medical System before joining Mason Health.

With extensive experience in gastrointestinal surgery, colon, gall bladder, hernia, and breast surgery, Dr. Pelczar performs most of his intraabdominal procedures laparoscopically.

Minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery; upper and lower endoscopies.
